Candor ("the App") helps Shopify merchants display AI transparency notices to their store visitors. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information the App accesses and how it is used.
The App does not collect personal information from your store's customers or visitors. We do not collect names, email addresses, payment details, or browsing history of shoppers.
To function, the App stores the following standard Shopify session information for the merchant who installs it:
This information is required by Shopify to authenticate the App and is handled according to Shopify's standard app framework.
To show notices only to visitors from the European Union, the App makes a best-effort guess based on the visitor's browser language and time zone. This check happens in the visitor's browser and is not stored or recorded anywhere.
The information accessed is used solely to operate the App — to save your settings and display notices correctly. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties.
Session information is stored securely and only for as long as the App is installed. If you uninstall the App, this information is removed in accordance with Shopify's standard processes.
